Making Your Winter Outfits Pop

Fashion is what you buy. Style is what you do with it.”

– Nicky Hilton

Who else gets SO bored with winter? The dreary cold days that seem to go on forever…NO THANKS! I hate the snow and I crave hot, summer days at the pool. Probably the only thing I like are winter outfits. Sweaters are so cozy and I love boots (but that’s not really news to anyone who has followed my blog and Instagram for a while).

Even with lots of cute sweaters, it’s easy to get stuck in a rut and end up getting bored with your wardrobe. Luckily for you babes, I have some style tips about adding pops of color to make your winter outfits much more fun!

Colorful Jewelry

One of my favorite ways to add color to my winter outfits is with some colorful jewelry! I have a LOT of black in my closet and I don’t really want to look like a goth. Adding some fun color with a statement necklace or bangle will brighten up your look.

Brightly Colored Bag

Hey, ya girl’s gotta have a chic bag at all times! Why not pick one that’s brightly colored? I love this pink crossbody because it’s the perfect size for me when I’m running errands or going out for drinks. Plus it’s bright pink so you know it’s right up my alley! This crossbody is seriously perfect if you want a pop of color for your winter outfits.

Poppin’ Booties

Ok you know that I couldn’t give style tips without including booties! Even though those booties aren’t brightly colored, they definitely add a nice pop of color when you don’t want to add too much craziness to your winter outfits. A nice berry color like this will really make your outfit extra fab!

Bright AF Sweater

I had to throw in a little more pink into the mix here. I love this bright pink sweater because…well, just look how effin’ bright it is! This sweater is so fun to pair with black jeans and some patterned booties. It really steals the show and I am obsessed!

If you’re like me and tend to get bored with your winter outfits, try these tips and see how your style brightens everything up. Trust me…you’ll need some bright colors to help you survive this never-ending season!

My Top 10 Beauty Products of 2018

“Glow is the essence of beauty.”

– Estée Lauder

Now I know what you’re thinking: why are you posting today? It’s not Monday! This week I decided to link up with some of my blogger girlfriends and post about my top 10 beauty products for last year. You can find links to their posts at the bottom of my post.

This was definitely a hard post to write since I tried so many fabulous beauty products in 2018. But I’ve finally narrowed it down to my 10 favorites so let’s count down!

beauty-products

10. Ole Henriksen Cold Plunge Pore Mask

I’ve been using this mask at least once a week ever since I got it. It’s really AMAZING! It smells like peppermint, it makes my face really cold (which I really like), it’s relaxing and it’s blue…how awesome does it sound? Plus it’s really great for shrinking my pores. Definitely the perfect mask for a spa night or a girls’ night in!

9. Tatcha Violet-C Radiance Mask

I feel like a goddess when I wear this mask. This was my go-to last year when I need a little extra TLC for my skin. The lavender color is too gorgeous for this world and my skin is always SUPER glowy after wearing this mask for 15 minutes. It is a little pricier than I would go on a face mask but trust me…so worth it!

8. Hum Nutrition Hair Sweet Hair

For years, I’ve been dying to try Hum’s vitamins and see how well they work. After trying Hair Sweet Hair, I’m officially hooked! The vitamins come as gummies (berry flavored…YUM) and they really work. My hair is slowly but surely growing, it’s much stronger/healthier and I’ve stopped shedding. Congrats to me, I’m no longer a dog!

7. Urban Decay Naked Cherry Eyeshadow Palette

I got this palette for Christmas so I didn’t get a ton of time with it in 2018 but I used it every day for the last few days of the year. This palette is truly one of my favorites of all time! As always, Urban Decay came through with pigmented shadows and gorgeous pink shades. And of course, I’m a sucker for the cute packaging!

6. Hot Tools Digital Salon 1″ Flat Iron

I stopped styling my hair for a long time because my straightener was waaaay too old…like, seriously! When I saw this cute pink straightener on sale for Black Friday, I knew I had to get it. I mean, you really can’t beat $30! This straightener is a godsend because it heats up quickly and straightens my hair super fast plus it curls my hair really well.

5. GlamGlow GALACTICLEANSE Hydrating Jelly Balm Cleanser

I cannot live without this cleanser! This was such a great everyday beauty product for me in 2018. It smells like an orange creamsicle and it removes any extra makeup/dirt left over after I remove my makeup. And as always, GlamGlow nailed it with the fab packaging. Definitely a must have!

4. Anastasia Beverly Hills Sugar Glow Kit

Not everyone loves highlighter but I certainly do! I love ABH’s highlighter palettes so much and the Sugar Glow Kit has to be one of my favorite beauty products from last year. The glow payoff is out of this world and the shades are so gorgeous. If you also have pink undertones, this glow kit is perfect for you.

3. Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow

For the first time ever, I tried Stila in 2018. I know…I must be insane, right? I finally tried their famous glittery liquid eyeshadows and I am obsessed. They’re really easy to use and they look so fab on their own or with your favorite eyeshadows. Seriously guys…these babies are amazing if you want a glam makeup look!

2. Laneige Water Sleeping Mask

One of my absolute favorite beauty products from 2018 has to be this sleeping mask. I’ve tried so many night creams and I’ve finally found THE one! It’s insanely moisturizing and a little goes a really long way. If you have dry skin like me, this sleeping mask will quickly become a holy grail for you too.

1. Skin Gym Rose Quartz Crystal Facial Roller

I remember reading about facial rollers and rolling my eyes (yes I think I’m pretty funny for that pun). I thought these were really lame and wouldn’t do anything for my skin. Boy, was I wrong! This facial roller is my favorite product from last year because it relaxes my skin and it helps my skin absorb moisturizers and serums super fast. Plus it’s pink so naturally I love it!
